In June of 2011, Dr. David Stacy put on a “eye clinic” for Casa Esperanza para Ninos. Dr. Stacy and his three interns were able to perform vision screenings, diagnoses for glasses and/or surgery and helped us formulate a treatment plan for our children with vision needs. This was such a blessing to Casa Esperanza and we send our heart felt thanks to Dr. David Stacy and his team!! Watch Video

A hundred years from now, it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove... but the world may be different because I was important to the life of a child.
In the fall of 1998, Adonna Cullumber started to fulfill her life-long dream of providing a safe environment for abused and abandoned children. Having grown up taking care of the babies of migrant farm workers she had a special passion for the children of Mexico. An introduction Carmen Esperilla, a Mexico/U.S. Citizen, revealed that Carmen shared the same dream. Shortly thereafter, they made the acquaintance of Edna Ruiz, a retired school administrator in Hermosillo Mexico. Edna was inspired by their dream and joined their team. January 1999 marked the beginning of a journey toward a better world for abused and abandoned children.
Only a few hours across the U.S. border sits the city of Hermosillo. Struggling with the growing pains of a developing country, Hermosillo is simply unable to meet all the needs of their children. Some as young as 4 years old live in the storm drains beneath the busy streets.
Driving through some streets, Adonna and Carmen felt certain that this was the place House of Hope for children should begin. The children had captured their hearts. Working with the local government and churches and after many months of seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Casa Esperanza para Ninos was founded, established and opened in Mexico.
The community of Hermosillo has embraced our vision and is wholeheartedly supporting our efforts. Many local volunteers donate countless hours in every area of need. We refuse to become accustomed to the poverty and hopelessness that permeates so much of our world. We can't save all the children, but together we can save one child at a time.
