New Projects at Casa Esperanza

The Ranch: DREAM BIG - WE DID.  AFTER 10 YEARS OF PLANNING, WE HAVE MOVED INTO OUR NEW CAMPUS THAT WILL EVENTUALLYBE HOME TO 100 DESERVING KIDS IN HERMOSILLO, MEXICO!

  • The Ranch is a 3.5 acre property in a rural area outside the city of Hermosillo.  Our kids have been able to enjoy building a garden, taking care of animals, and other recreational activities on our expanded property.

    ·      This was a huge leap of faith!  To feel comfortable with this purchase and move, it took a team of experts, an architect/land planner, master builders, financial advisors, and a management team to make the final decision.

We also had a team of volunteers from the U.S. that helped plan for and move the house and kids to the Ranch.  They did a fantastic job.

    ·      We began this project  with a ranch house and a small metal house, and we have since added additional bedrooms, bathrooms, and poured foundations for an additional house!  Many challenges came up with this project, one of these being how to figure out the water and electrical system, and we are working on this at the moment.

o      Thanks to the expertise and pro-bono work of David Arambula, our architect, we have master plans for our future campus additions and our first house, which is now under construction.

    ·      Our resources have been greatly stretched by this new move, although we are sure that this move was necessary and God-driven.  We are praying that you, our loyal supporters, will find a way, if possible, to make a donation, whether it be a monetary or item donation.

We are making plans to build a Youth Activity Center on the outskirts of Hermosillo, MX. Our half-acre property is already paid for!

  • We are planning to create a community center for kids and teens, similar to a before- and after-school program. We want to serve the very poor surrounding community in which our property lies, where many homes go without electricity or plumbing. Our center would provide activities, sports, tutoring, nutritious meals, clean showers, used clothes and love!
  • The building would be very simple, with an industrial kitchen, two bathrooms, a shower, and a large activity area both inside and out. We are hoping that groups will go down and provide the labor and others will make donations for the building materials. We know that this center will make a difference in hundreds of kids’ lives by providing this simple, yet powerful program.
